Lexus LFA breaks cover /// video

In less than six hours the wraps will officially come off the Lexus LF-A at the Tokyo Motor Show. And about 36 hours after that, we'll be piloting Lexus' first foray into supercardom in and around Miami and Florida's Homestead-Miami Speedway.

But in this day and age, any auto expo wouldn't be complete without one last leak in the final hours leading up to the show, and YouTube – along with the NAGTROC forums -- have delivered.

This is a vid of the production LF-A making its way around the Nurburgring GP course, along with a slew of still shots that show the Lexus supercoupe sans disguise. Although we've seen everything aft of the A-pillars before, the LF-A's nose is finally revealed – and opinions are split on the chosen headlamp and fascia design. Although we could do without the red-leather steering wheel, the rest of the interior receives high marks, particularly the animated, customizable central LCD display and massive tunnel running through the interior. And if the video wasn't enough, NAGTROC forum member Adrey has snapped a few shots of the LF-A in Miami as it's being prepped for our big day this week. Expect our First Drive soon, and all the official details to drop in the next few hours.

Ducati Sport 1000 /// Ga

Ducati. It's a name full of racing heritage and tradition, but it hasn't always been that way. The company's roots are much more humble, first by selling radio equipment before moving into the world of two wheels with a quaint motorized bicycle dubbed the Cucciolo – meaning "puppy" in Italiano – because of its cuddly exhaust note. Needless to say, there was no way of knowing in the early 1950s that the brand would go on to become one of the most successful grand prix racing companies in the world. But we're sure glad it did.

Harley-Davidson has just announced its third-quarter results, and there were a few suprises. The big bombshell is that the Buell brand is being discontinued and HD will sell off its share in MV Agusta. It's a sad day...

Best of the Best /// 1979 Ferrari GTB

This 1979 Ferrari 308 GTB is for sale on eBay. It's probably in better condition now than when Maranello birthed it. The obsessively maintained car has not only been meticulously maintained, it's been updated to provide better performance and reliability.

There isn't much I could add to the owners statement's regarding the car, but if you want nothing more than the best chariot from which to display the flowing chest hair peeking from behind your open Hawaiian shirt, there's probably no finer example of this car available. At least not at the reserve price.

Zero Motorcycles delays shipment of 2009 S due to overheating motors ///

After getting a tip regarding a possible delay on the 2009 Zero S electric motorcycle, we contacted the company for confirmation. It seems that the original motor used in the S model was prone to overheat under certain circumstances in testing. A new motor is now being used that reportedly fixes the overheating problem and also allows for a slightly higher top speed.

As it turns out, the company has already shipped a small number of 2009 models to customers, and those with deposits already in are being contacted and offered their bikes right now with certain unspecified limitations or a free upgrade to the 2010 bike with the improved motor and a number of other unknown enhancements. It's not entirely clear when the new 2010 model will begin shipping, but our tipster says the company is looking at April

The Sakurama Cafe /// Nicest BMW Cafe Racer ... EVER

From the My bike was on the first page of this thread but I have a few more which I don't think ever made the web. I've changed a few things like the wheels but otherwise it's pretty much the same. The funny thing is I built this 9 years ago just when I started racing and didn't know as much as I do now about suspension so the suspension is needlessly harsh. I've been thinking of fixing it and doing some updates but I might just make another one that's much more updated since this bike has become somewhat popular in the BMW world and friends don't think I should touch it.
For all the info, please see the Adventure Rider Thread. Fore more amazing bikes, please take a look at motorcyclepictureoftheday
